Elder Tim Binion - The Bible teaches us that we can KNOW that we have been saved. We are given a “full assurance of faith.” You can know that you are saved, AND you can know if you are still lost. Salvation is a gift from God … we cannot work for it or pay for it. Jesus is the source of salvation and the Giver of life. There is a personal experience with God in connection with your salvation. Conviction precedes conversion/salvation. Salvation is not a religion … it is a relationship. All who have been saved and will be saved are saved the same way – by grace thru faith. Grace is the unmerited favor of God – in other words the only manner in which you can be saved is through exercising repentance and faith, and when God is satisfied, HE will grant you forgiveness, salvation and peace with Him. There is always evidence of salvation after you have been saved – there is an internal change and there are outward expressions as well. You can be sure you are saved! You must be sure! Heaven is real! God is real! Jesus is real! Salvation is real … and we can be assured of these things.
