“The Need For Intercessory Prayer” from Ezekiel 22. Prayer is needed – both for the lost and for the saved. Because of sin this entire world should be destroyed, but because of the intercessory prayers of the saints God has stayed His Wrath and been merciful, even when things appear hopeless and judgment is due because of the public sins of the people. God is constantly looking for ONE man – someone like you or me - to “stand in the gap” and “make up the hedge” and intercede for the people. But, today – as always – the number of intercessors are few.
