In John 6:35 Jesus presents this powerful claim that He has come down from heaven. Jesus is saying, “I and I alone are the means by which that eternal life can become yours.” There are two parts to this statement; DIVINE PROVISION OF THE BREAD, and HUMAN APPROPRIATION OF THE BREAD. Part 1 deals with divine Provision of the bread and Part 2 on Human appropriation. HE is saying YOU HAVE TO TAKE ME IN. It’s not enough to come and listen. You have to eat!
